The Angels Frontman Goes Country

If you have been following the music scene of late, then you will note that that there is shift in allegiance where artists are testing waters in other music genres. The biggest shift in focus is the Angels Frontman. The rock icon Doc Neeson, has expressed his interests in country music, a less vigorous and softer genre.

The rock legend is responsible for big hits such as Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again? has plans to prove he still has the music genius in him and he can also flourish in country music just as he made it at the reign of high rocks. He starts his country sail by doing tunes by Jim Reeves and Buddy Holly at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Even though the festival will be a perfect opportunity for him to anchor his country music career, he admits that he will be performing in unfamiliar territory; but being and experienced performer, he looks forward at pulling out with less fuss. He states his relation to country music as cordial and points out that this is the music he grew up with. He further reveals that his alias Doc claims of his adoration to country legend Doc Holiday and consequently, he was christened Doc.

Doc Neeson is a lead singer of the Angels, which is based in Australia. The 70s rock sensation latest tour was in 12007 where he was on The Engels music tour that saw them tour Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the Australian troops. The tour was dubbed Tour De Force. The tour also featured the bands guitarist Mitch Hutchinson, drummer Mick Skelton, Dave Leslie also on the guitar as well as Sara Gray on the bass.

The rock legend says his greatest challenge was to piece up the country music he is to perform. Even though he freely associates with country music, he realized just how blunt his knowledge in the genre is and so he had to spend some time getting the lyrics. This is understandable since he has been a performing artist in a rock band for most of his career. From 2000, he has held successful rock tour in the world and also formed his own band the Red Phoenix two years later. The band has since released an album under its band name. It will be interesting to see how high he will fly in the country music sky. Music has surprises and country music might prove to be a his long time elusive music career,
